Where It Started

I grew up collecting cards in the 80s and 90s. Packs of Topps and Donruss, trading on the playground, chasing Ken Griffey Jr. rookies. Eventually life got in the way and I stopped.

A few years ago I started collecting again with my son and hit a wall pretty fast. The hobby had completely changed. Dozens of brands, hundreds of parallel variations, Whatnot auctions running every night, and a whole grading industry that didn't exist when I was a kid. Figuring out what to buy, what a card was actually worth, or whether it was even worth sending to PSA meant digging through Reddit threads, YouTube videos, and forums just to piece it together.

WaxIntel is the site I wished existed when I came back to the hobby.

What I'm Building

I think of WaxIntel as a collector intelligence platform. Tools, checklists, and data that help you make smarter decisions. Whether you're building a team collection, figuring out if a card is worth grading, trying to understand box odds before you buy, or just learning the difference between a refractor and a prizm, the goal is to give you a real edge.

Who This Is For

If you collect in your 20s, 30s, 40s, or 50s, brand new or coming back after a long break or already deep in it, there's something here for you. The tools are practical. The data is accurate. Everything is built with real collectors in mind, not flippers chasing the next hot thing.
